Original Tank

In a Tesla, the term "Tank" most commonly refers to the windshield washer fluid reservoir, as Tesla vehicles do not have a traditional fuel tank. This container stores the cleaning fluid used for the windshield and, in some models, the headlights and rear camera. It is typically a plastic reservoir equipped with an electric pump, level sensor, and connecting hoses. The system is controlled via the vehicle's touchscreen and steering column stalk. In the context of Tesla's battery electric vehicles, "tank" is not used for energy storage; the high-voltage battery pack serves that function.
